Modem is not working

We recently purchased a surfboard cable modem at walmart.  When our new internet was connected we realized we did not need the modem.  When we tried to return it, it was out of return time frame.  The return desk informed us to contact your website to see if it could be returned directly to you.  The modem has not been opened.  Can you help in any way?

Arris can provide refund for the device purchased directly from the Arris site and for the device which is within 30days from the date of purchase. Arris device purchased from different site or on other retail shop refund is not possible by Arris.
