Power Supply Mis-match?

Hello Arris Community! I just purchased a brand new Arris SB6190, but am a little concerned about the power supply. The modem is rated at 12V, 0.75A input, while the power supply that came with it is rated at 12V, 1A. For most electronics, I would only using a matching power supply to avoid damaging the device. Does the modem have some tolerance to make this acceptable, or was I somehow given the wrong power supply with my purchase? Thanks for the feedback!

The modem will only pull the power it needs. You could use a 5A power supply and it’d still work fine.

Its just a concern if the power supply can’t supply enough amperage.

You usually see a power supply slightly above what is needed in case of efficiency differences between different supplies.

Thanks! I was unsure if the modem had the ability to modulate the incoming current.
