I have been with no internet for the last 2 days. I have gone through all of the usual troubleshooting tips to resolve this issue (change patch cable, coax cable, rebooted modem (6190) and router multiple times), I still have no internet connectivity. Tried to contact xfinity but that did not go so well… i could not talk to anybody.

Modem : Arris Surferboard SB6190 (6-month old)

  1. lights on the modem are white, blue, blue and white.
  2. I cannot get an ip from the modem when i connect directly to it with a computer (no coax connected).
  3. I cannot get an internet connection when connected to a router (Asus RT-AX68)
  4. I cannot get an internet connection when connected to a computer.

I think the modem is faulty. What do you think?

When you direct connect your pc to the modem, did you power off the modem for a while and then power it on?
leave the coax connected.

see if you can access it at 192.168.100.1

Thank you for the reply.  I tried that and I could not get an up address. I believe that the wan port is fried. I will contact support to get a replacement.
