does anyone understand the following from an event log:
I see similar messages daily with my 6190 modem. As I understand it, they indicate a failed ‘handshake’ between modem and ISP. There are multiple points of failure that can cause them - splitters, failing connections, the Puma chip, noisy line between modem and ISP. I’ve tried four different modems, each with similar results so I’m going with ISP noisy lines as the most likely. I’ve just ordered an SB8200 as it has DOCSIS 3.1, a Broadcom chip and reviews indicate is has greater tolerance for T3 & T4 interrupts. I’m not an expert, just a frustrated user looking for a solution to erratic Internet service.
thank you. What’s. T3 or T4 interruption
The event log can help diagnose connectivity issues by showing timestamps, error codes, and messages about network events. If you're experiencing intermittent internet problems, checking the event log can reveal patterns—like frequent disconnections.
T3 and T4 timeouts are network issues that occur between your modem and your internet provider.
Could you let me know whether you are experiencing slow speed or intermittent internet connection?
Experience both which is usually resolved only by rebooting the modem. Thanks
When it slows down, it’s slower than cell service , almost a crawl!
I don’t see any values but T3 and t4 are usually issues with the ISP connection.
Try contacting them
Thank you
