I have had trouble with my modem not accessing the internet each light would flash and go solid until the internet light, when it tries to look for the internet it flashes faster than the others and then resets back to upload a couple times before going back to download and trying it all over again I have factory reset it and contacted spectrum do I need to contact someone and then have customer support reset it themselves?

Was it provisioned by the ISP? Contact them first.

It was not it was a personal purchase. I did contact the ISP and they said that it would have to be done by ARRIS and wipe the memory of the previous areas coding to copy this new areas coding

Whenever you purchase a DOCSIS cable modem or gateway, only your internet service provider can activate the device. You simply need to provide them with the HFC MAC ID. As the manufacturer, we do not have control over the activation process.

Thank you for the information, I had another tech come out and he said the network was working at a higher frequency than it should be. And he fixed it. Anyone else who has this problem just ask if they can input a device (I forget what he said it was atm) and that should fix it
