My upload was blue while my download was a green light, to be clear I still haven't activated my wifi to it yet so I don't know if that has to do anything with it but just wondering if this is just a normal thing anyways

Yes it is.
blue means its connected at docsis 3.1 and green is docsis 3.0.
Pretty standard for the downstream to be docsis 3.1 and upstream 3.0.
