I have a new SB8200 on a new install. I can access the internet fine when wired to one of the SB8200 ports. When i connect my router’s WAN port to it, no device on my router gets traffic. There are no settings for bridge mode that I can find in the web UI of the SB8200. How can I get my router to work? It IS in DHCP mode for its WAN port.

Hello caseyo2112

SB8200 is just a cable modem so this doesn't have any advanced configuration on GUI like bridge mode setup and also this just a plug and play device so if the modem is activated by the Internet service provider you just need to connect router WAN to the modem LAN port1. You can also try resetting modem for 30secs without coax cable and after the modem reboots you can connect router to the modem then check the Wi-Fi, if still same issue persist you can reach out to arris.com/consumersupport

Let us know if this helps

also keep in mind that even though the SB8200 has 2x ethernet pots, the vast majority of ISP’s only support 1 public ip address. Meaning only 1 device can be connected.

So if you have something other than the router connected, only 1 will work. And it might not be the router.

so power off the modem, connect the router to port 1 and boot the modem back up. Once its powered up, then power up the router and go through internet setup on it.
