I have an SB8200 modem. Currently, my modem is plugged into my Vonage phone modem, and my phone modem is connected into my Netgear Wifi router. I want to connect my SB8200 directly into my Netgear router and use one of the ports on the router to supply my Vonage modem. I tried this setup; however, I cannot get the Netgear router to recognize the SB8200 modem; i.e. I get no connection into the router.

Power off the modem for around 10 minutes with nothing connected to it.
Connect the coax back to it and power it on and wait a couple minutes.
Then connect the router to port 1 on the sb8200 and turn the router on.
Give it a couple minutes and go through its setup.
