The 3rd light from the top (send signal light) is flashing green while the top 2 are solid green. I cannot get any internet connection on any device. How can I fix this? I’ve tried unplugging everything and a hard reset.
Are you replacing a device that you know was working? Was this unit working before? Has the SB8200 been registered with your ISP (usually MAC ID and Serial Number)? If you plug your pc into the SB8200, go to 192.168.100.1 and log in (admin and last 8 of Serial Number unless you have updated after the hard reset) what does the Status page show? Let us know and maybe we can help further.
Here’s a link to more information on the SB8200 LED display in case you don’t have it.
I have been using this modem for about 6 months. It stopped working yesterday. I don’t think it has been registered with my ISP. I only have a Mac and have no way to plug it in to the SB8200. I have entered that code into my browser on my WiFi and on my cellular data and neither will load that page. What am I missing?
Thanks for your time and assistance!
Thanks for the details. If it has been working for 6 months then I would think it has been registered. I’d probably start be reaching out to your ISP and asking whether they can “see it” from their end, and if so, to reset/restart it from their end. That will confirm it is reachable. You can also confirm that they haven’t disabled anything.
What are you using for a router? Is there any sort of VPN? Some VPN configurations (GoogleOne comes to mind) will not allow direct access to 192.168.100.1 (they treat it as external to the network rather than internal). I can hit my SB8200 with my Samsung phone. If you have an iPhone and Mac, I’m not sure what challenges that introduces. My understanding is some Mac units have ethernet, others require a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter. That might be helpful for troubleshooting.
