I recently purchased a replacement Arris 2B8200 Modem to replace my old Arris 2B8200 Modem, because I have intermittent Internet outages and my ISP is CONVINCED it's my modem or router.

Old Arris 2B8200 Modem

Green power light

Blue in/out bound

Green globe/Internet icon

Successful Internet connection

New Arris 2B8200 Modem

All green and no Internet connection

I'm convinced I have a dud but I'm open to suggestions.

Could you please confirm the name of your internet service provider and the speed plan you’re currently subscribed to?

Have you activated the new modem (SB8200) with your provider by sharing the HFC MAC ID?

If yes, you can connect the SB8200 directly to a computer using an Ethernet cable to test the connection. Please ensure that only one Ethernet device is connected at a time.

If there’s still no internet access, try reconnecting your old SB8200 to the coaxial cable. If the internet works with the old modem, it’s likely that the new modem hasn’t been properly activated by your internet service provider.
