Hello everyone ,
Today, I purchased a used (preowned) cable modem, specifically the SB8200 model. Upon exploring its Event Log, I noticed several recurring issues related to synchronization and ranging failures, such as:

1-SYNC Timing Synchronization failure.
2-No Ranging Response received.
3-Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received.
4-Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received.
5-16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 8.
6- Unicast Maintenance Ranging attempted - No response - Retries exhausted.

Could someone please help me understand what these event logs mean? Do they indicate a problem with the device? Would it be advisable to return it, or are these issues not significant?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

those tend to indicate line issues.

Youc an check your coax connection. make sure its using high quality cable, no kinks, corrosion, sketchy connections. If you can, direct connect it to where the coax comes into the home. this prevents wiring in the home being the issue.

If you still get those errors, the ISP needs to check the line

Thank you @plemans for your assistance and guidance.I will check that.
