I recently purchased a SB8200 modem. upgrading from a SB6183. I live in a very poor cell reception area. Without Wi-Fi calling I would be in trouble. Hence my problem trying to activate the new modem when I need to disconnect the old one, no service then. My original modem I think I had to activate from my previous address then bring here, can’t do that now. any suggestions?

In this scenario you will not get internet if you activate your new modem on your old address and then taking the same unit to the new address will not provide you internet so the only option is to activate modem by contacting your ISP or taking modem to the nearest ISP service shop to activate it and they will let you know what will be the other alternate solution.
