Front panel shows solid yellow lights indication stable connection (lights should be green/blue?), and router (ASUS) is fully connected and active (can be used with other modem). However, no internet connection available. I tried power cycling, but all lights return to solid with no connection available.

Ensure that only one Ethernet connection is made to the SB8200. To isolate the issue, disconnect the router and connect a computer directly to the modem. Then, power cycle the modem and check if it provides an internet connection.
The SB8200 is a standalone cable modem and does not include a built-in DHCP server. As a result, when your internet service provider (ISP) activates the modem, it typically assigns only one public IP address, which supports a single internet connection.
