Xfinity called regarding Modem not having enough Fire Wall protection. What do I need to do?

I’m confused. Are you saying you have an Arris Surfboard SB8600? Motorola makes an MB8600 but I don’t recognize that Arris model.

Hope you have an Arris sb8200 cable modem, to check the firewall protection please check with your Router provider on the same.
As the sb8200 is a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem which is a plug-and-play device, it doesn’t carry any firewall protection as it's not a Wi-Fi device.
