I have an sb8200, and it reboots randomly several times a day. The cable company says everything looks good on their side. Is this a sign of a bad modem? I checked all the connections and reset the modem to factory settings, but even after doing that, it still reboots, kicking us off all our streaming devices.

Is your modem reboots automatically like even the power light on the modem going off? If yes, you can try connecting modem to different power outlet or use different power cable.
Other than the power light on the modem remaining lights flashing or changing color that is because of the low or incorrect signal level on the modem.
