i am trying to add a  Verizon network extender to my home due to poor cell signal.  It was connected to my modem and will not initialize due to a “LAN/firewall” issue.  I called Verizon, I called my ISP and was advised to check my firewall settings in my modem.  I have no idea how to do this and what to do if I could find the firewall settings.  Any assitance would be appreciated.

Well, the SB8200 might have 2x ethernet ports but its a modem only device and most ISP’s only support a single device connected to it.

You need to go modem---->Router---->verizon extender.

Don’t plug the extender directly into the sb8200
