Upgraded SB6190 to SB8200v3 at professional office. Office has static IP from Optimum. 8200 is registered with Optimum. 8200 will not connect. Keeps going thru the boot process. Put the 6190 back in service, which is not registered at this point, and it connected within 2 minutes. Recently did same upgrade at my residence, 6190 to 8200v2. Called Optimum, registered the 8200v2 and online within a few minutes. 

In this case may be the modem is not registered properly and that is the reason there is no internet form SB8200 so to isolate the issue please connect SB 8200 to the power and coax line then check the modem IP address on direct connection by connecting device like computer or laptop to the unit and that will help us in finding the issue.


8200 IP Gateway address is 192.168.100.1, Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0

The original 6190 IP Gateway address is 74.197.8.1, Subnet Mask is 255.255.252.0
