The SB8200 is a standalone cable modem that does not include built-in Wi-Fi capabilities or a DHCP server.

As a result, you'll need to connect it to a separate router to enable multiple device connectivity.

Could you please confirm the status of the LED lights on the front panel of the modem?

To help isolate the issue, please connect the SB8200 directly to your computer using an Ethernet cable. Ensure that only one Ethernet port is in use during this test.

One thing I remind people, even though the SB8200 has 2x ethernet ports, most ISP’s only allow a single device to be connected to it because they only assign a single public IP address. Make sure if you had more than 1 device connected, shut off the modem and the router and connect the router to port 1. Power the modem back on and give it a couple minutes, then power on the router and go through its internet setup process. Don’t plug more than 1 device into the sb8200
