All Ethernet connections to my combo modem/router (Arris SBG10) are not working. I have tried multiple computers with multiple cables. The Wi-Fi works fine. Resetting the modem/router through my ISP (Xfinity) didn't help nor did factory resetting the modem/router. All computers I connect with an Ethernet cable have a 169.254.x.x IPv4 address, suggesting the DHCP server is not working. When diagnosing the connection on a Windows 11 device, there is a "No DHCP server was found" error. However, when I login to my modem settings (192.168.0.1), the modem has DHCP enabled on both WAN and LAN.

How can I fix my Ethernet? Is the problem the SBG10? Or is the problem Xfinity?

Since the ethernet port is not working, could you let me know the led light on the ethernet port?

what is the ethernet cable you are using?

Have you performed factory reset the modem?

Hi, thanks for the response. The LED light on the back of the SBG10 is green and flickers occasionally. I am using a Cat-6 Ethernet cable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WD017GQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). As I stated above, I have tried multiple cables, and they all fail, so I don’t think they are causing the problem.

I have already tried a factory reset on the modem. It did not fix the Ethernet.
