Trying to connect new sbg10. Replacing Comcast equipment.  We are plugged in and cable is connected.  Comcast sent signals but when I try to login it says improper password.  This is the password from the quick start guide. Under connecting using mobile device,  it says something about sbg10 activation.  All I have done is plug it in, connect the cable and call comcast.

Try the password which at the back or underneath the modem on a  label 

Try factory resetting the modem which brings the modem to the default settings

When the modem is in the default state then you should use the default Wi-Fi name and the password which is located underneath the modem on a label
