Have to Sign in to the internet

Every device that joins the network has to sign in to the internet. Why? I can only sign in to the internet if on my computer. So, Alexa devices, Kindle, smart plugs, smart lights, etc. will not connect. 

And I constantly get this: “Action needed, Sign in to the internet”.

What device do you have? 

Did you get it activated by xfinity? (might need to contact them to do so)
