question on recent SBG10 purchase and whether it is modem/router combo

greetings,

I recently purchased an ARRIS surfboard SBG10 through Best Buy. When I was researching this item, the website indicated it was a modem and router combo, however, when I picked up the item, the description on the box only said ‘wifi cable modem’. When the technician came to install my service, he informed me that this was only a modem and didn’t have the router.

I checked other images, including the ones on the ARRIS website, and the box description said ‘cable modem and wifi router’ clearly for product SBG10 while mine does not say this.

My question is, how can I verify the device I purchased is a combo gateway instead of a just a modem as described on the box?

Thanks

The SBG10 is a modem/router combo device. Look at the label on the actual device. Maybe you got something different or a returned device with the wrong one in it.
