sgb10 not connecting to Chromebook

My SGB10 modem is connecting to all my devices except my Chromebook book. My Chromebook keeps saying the network is out of range but the modem is only 4ft away from the Chromebook. I have Xfinity Wi-Fi, my fire stick, Roku and phone are all able to connect to the Wi-Fi. I bought a USB wireless adapter that goes up to 6g but still the Chromebook will not connect.

When everything but 1 device connects, it tends to be a device issue. 

What actual chromebook is it?
