I have multiple security cameras on my home wifi that only operate on the 2.4ghz frequency, so when the router switches to 5ghz I lose the ability to connect to the cameras.  Is there a way to only use the 2.4ghz and block the router from switching to 5ghz.

The router doesn’t switch back and forth.

Its a dual band that broadcasts both at once.

Thanks

Can you please walk me through on how to switch my modem over to 2.4 so I can hook up my doorbell camera?

I downloaded the surfboard central app on my phone(android )and created a wifi connection on the 2.4Ghz frequency, using the app. Then I used that connection for my home network. I have not had any problems with the cameras now connecting.

Hello Clinton ,

To connect to 2.4 GHz for the door bell  please go to the WiFi option on the door bell device and select the 2.4GHz Arris WiFi name and connect , if you face any issue on this please follow the below link to check on WiFi name and Password.
