instruction say to use and Ethernet cable to install. I do not have an Ethernet port on my laptop to do this.

It is not mandatory to have an Ethernet connection to set up the gateway. To configure it using a coaxial connection, you must activate the service through your Internet Service Provider by providing them with the HFC MAC ID. Additionally, ensure that the speed approved by the provider matches your subscribed plan.
