I am attempting to access the "Operation" section of my Arris Surfboard SBG6950AC2.   When I select the option and put in my credentials used in the “Configuration” I get a message that says:

Invalid user name or password, or your access has been locked due to multiple failed login attempts!”

How do I clear this issue?

The Operations tab and the Configurations tab are two separate sections when you log into your gateway.

  • The Configuration tab allows you to manage settings like changing your Wi-Fi name and password.
  • The Operations tab is used to view the cable signal levels with the gateway transmitted by your internet service provider.

If you're logging into the Operations tab for the first time, you’ll need to use the default password which is the word password.
Meanwhile, the Configuration tab will prompt you to change the login credentials during your first login for security reasons.
