I got a refurbished SBG7400AC2 and set it up today. I can connect but I want to change the network names/passwords. I went to the website 192.168.100.1 and put in a stronger password. Then I went to the configure screen and tried the new password, the default “password” and the last 8 numbers of the serial number but nothing has worked. I’ve reset to default settings multiple times but it still doesn’t work. Everything has gone smoothly until now but this is getting really frustrating. Can anyone help?

If previously set up the SURFboard Central app with the gateway, you’ll need to get the login password in the app.  SURFboard Central: Web Manager Access

You might need to do a hard reset back to default settings by holding down the reset button for 20+ seconds.

Try the steps on this FAQ, it says to use 192.168.0.1

Thank you. These are essentially the same instructions I was using. Going to the configure screen is the same as going to 192.168.0.1 . The issue is that when I try password, it doesn’t work. When I try the new password I setup at 192.168.100.1 it doesn’t work. When I try the last 8 numbers of the serial number it doesn’t work. I do not know what password to use to get to the next screen. Does anyone know what to do in this situation?
