I tried configuring OpenDNS with my SBG7600AC2 gateway using the instructions provided. Under LAN settings, I checked the box to manually set the DNS addresses and them provided the primary and secondary DNS addresses for OpenDNS. The device restarted, I gave it plenty of time to take effect, etc. However, the test websites that OpenDNS is supposed to be filtering are not being filtered. My OpenDNS settings were working fine with the gateway that I owned previously (different brand/model).

In this case to assist you further could you please help me with few more details.

Are you trying to do mac filtering or DNS setup?

Are you trying to block particular website?

To your first question, I'm not sure I know the answer but I think DNS setup.

I'm not trying to block individual websites; however, I have OpenDNS set up to block broad categories of websites such as adult and illegal content. It was working with my previous modem/gateway, but I have not been able to get it to work with my Arris modem/gateway yet.

To setup the DNS, I would suggest following the instructions on the below given link:

If you want to block particular websites, I suggest you enable parental control.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, those were the instructions I already followed, but OpenDNS still is still apparently not being used as the DNS server. Websites are not being filtered, and my OpenDNS dashboard does not show any request coming in. I would appreciate some troubleshooting help.
