I have been using the Arris SURFboard SBG7400AC2 for many years. Lately it’s been very slow uploading mail on iPad and MacAir laptop, but not iPhone. I think it’s time to upgrade. this is overwhelming. Could use some advice. Have Xfinity cable. We don’t do gaming or work from home. Thank you.

I’d look for one of the next gen speed tier devices. there’s only a couple modem/router combo devices. but you can always get a modem and router separate (what I’d recommend)
