The web admin panel warns “To keep your account password in sync, it is recommended to update it using the SURFboard App rather than changing it here.”
How do i change the admin password from the app? I looked absolutely everywhere and the option is nowhere.
I changed wifi names and passwords and settings from the web interface, nothing synced to the app, now i’m locked out at the app.
The app doesnt let you change the admin password, and the web interface syncs nothing to the app, what do i do?

SBG8300, during the initial setup, you’ll be prompted to create a password for accessing the web interface. If you’ve set up the Surfboard Central app, it will generate the password automatically for you
To retrieve the password for the web interface through the Surfboard Central app, please can refer to the following link.
Note: Once the SURFboard Central app is set up with the SBG8300, the admin login password is created. To keep your account password in sync, the app generates the password from the cloud server to ensure synchronization between the app and the GUI whenever changes are made.
If you’ve been using the web interface to configure your Surfboard gateway and if you did not setup the app properly, we would recommend performing a factory reset on the device. This will restore the gateway to its default settings, allowing you to set a new password for the web interface.
