Can't port forward - no admin password on web access

So. Got my SBG8300. Need to port forward on it.

This page https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/kA5Qi0000003RuiKAE says you use the web portal. Great, it needs a password I don’t have. Now this page: https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/articles/knowledge/SBG8300-Web-Manager-First-Time-Login says there was a redirect page. Great, that never happened. Now this topic right here: 

 says it’s the same as the app. Except the app doesn’t have a password. I tap logout, I tap login, I’m logged in. No password.

So what the heck?

This guide is wrong. There is no “general settings” under Network Settings under My Network. All I have under Network Settings is LAN IP Address, WAN IP Address, Wi-fi Radio Settings, Wi-fi Band Steeing, and Time Zone.

Gonna try on the web interface.

During the initial setup of the SBG8300, you’ll be prompted to create a password to access its web interface. If you forget this password, we recommend performing a factory reset on the gateway by pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the device for about 10–15 seconds.

If you have already set up the Surfboard Central app, you can manage port forwarding directly through the app. Additionally, the app will display the password for the web interface.
