I can’t change my modem password by going to website 192.168.0.1 as shown in the manual because the page says page not secure, unsafe, go back.  I can’t change my password on the iphone app because there is no option for account management.  I called the number in the manual for Arris SBC8300 and the rep I was talking to directed me to the page which was red flagged as NOT SECURE.  We got disconnected and when she called me back my iphone Malwarebytes labelled her number as KNOWN SCAMMER.  This is the worst customer service I ever experienced. I have not been able to get any help with changing my modem password.

When you access the gateway’s GUI using its IP address, you might see a “Not Secure” warning in your browser. This is completely normal because the connection is local and does not use a public SSL certificate like websites do. Your gateway’s interface is still safe to use since you are accessing it directly within your network.

You can change the Wi-Fi network in two ways:

  1. Using the Surfboard Central app: Set up the app using the default Wi-Fi network.

  2. Using the web interface (GUI): Access the GUI through a web browser to configure the gateway

For the surfboard central app setup, please refer the below link

To use the web interface (GUI) method, please visit the following link to access the GUI. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to create a password. After that, you can change the network credentials.
