ISP is installing internet to my newly constructed house.  I purchased the SBG8300 for Xfinity service.  Instructions require that the ethernet cable connects to my laptop.  I have a MacBook Pro, which has no ethernet ports. Any suggestions?

There should be the default ssid/password on the label for it. Try connecting to that and then following the setup guide.

Download SBC Central app.  Then select your model from the app and follow the step by step installation instructions from the app.  This type of set up doesn’t require you to connect with ethernet.

I downloaded the Surfboard app. Xfinity is coming tomorrow so hoping this works.
