Hello, My SBG8300 is blinking both lights at the same time (fast blue on both) after a factory reset. My MediaCom technician checked everything and seems that my router is the issue.

See the attached picture. Is there anything I can do, or is it the end of it?

Thanks

according to the manual, the internet icon fast blinking blue means its trying to aquire a downstream channel. If its not getting one, it doesn’t switch to the upstream channel. I’d start with checking your coax line for damages/issues/loose/poorly done connectors.

The wifi is related to wifi traffic.

Can you still hardwire into the router and check it? What does it show for its cable connections and event logs?

MediaCom just stopped by, and the COAX cable is working, so it is something to do with the Modem. The modem is not shooting any WiFi networks, so it is even harder to diagnose.

I have unplugged it for a while and tried to factory reset, but nothing happens

Are you able to  hardwire in a pc/laptop it for setup?

Did they just connect a probe to it or one of their actual modems?

I can try to hardwire to my mac, but what should I do then?

The tested with their probe

See if you can log into it or access it via the browser
