Just got the SBG8300 model which has the same password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. On my phone, two wifi names come up: “Guest” and “5G” type. The “Guest” network is connected using the default given password; however, when trying to connect to the 5G, it says “wrong password”.

If the password as password doesn’t work to log in to the GUI web portal, then I would suggest factory resetting the modem to create a new password.

have you logged into the router and checked what password you have setup for your main network

When I go to the web access page, it asks for a username and password, which I don't have one yet.

The label should have the defaults login info.

usually: login: admin

password is either whats on the label or last 8 of the serial number.

Factory resetting helped solve the issue. Now, I can see all the wifi networks and they work with the given password. I was also able to set up Surfboard app account to manage wifi name and password from hereon. Thanks!
