I’ve had the arris sbg 8300 modem router for about a month. Lost internet connection a few days ago and after connecting again, I only have access to YouTube and google on my laptops and have not internet access at all on my phone. (Phone shows it’s connected but can’t access a variety of websites). My 10 year old tablet has no connection issues. 
 

I have done a hard reset, defaulted to factory settings, and unplugged/plugged the modem. 
 

What else can I do? 

In this case we would suggest you to try DNS setup on the modem interface then try accessing website if still you face the same issue then you need to try re provisioning modem by your ISP service provider and check the connection you can follow the steps mentioned on the below link to setup DNS and please enter 8.8.8.8 in primary and 4.4.4.4 or 2.2.2.2 in secondary DNS.
