New Hampshire Spectrum just updated there network dropping DOCSIS 3.0 support. Once they did this my SBG-8300 stopped having internet access. The WIFI works just no internet. I called spectrum and they dispatched a technician to check the connection to the Arris SBG-8300 which says on the box the modem supports DOCSIS 3.1 and is on the spectrum support site as a supported Modem. Tested the connection for signal which passed. He then tested the modem and told me the modem did not support DOCSIS 3.1 and is no longer compatible with Spectrum. He has had several customers with this modem that has suddenly stopped working post update. I called Arris, I needed AI to find the support number for Arris, not something readily shared. The support rep told me they were not going to support the modem. If this was a damaged modem I would not have an issue, but this a built in incompatibility issue. Bottom line false advertising. If anybody else is having this issue I would like to here if you had the same response from Arris and what your ISP has responded as feedback.
