For whatever reason my refurbished SGB8300 will not recognize the login password. I know it’s correct because I logged in every device in the house myself and now it won’t recognize it. I also cannot log into the admin page to reset things myself.

So my thought is to hit the re-start button, lol. I just have no idea where te booklet that came with the unit is or if the reset will go to the “factory” settings or a “refurbished setting”. 

I was trying to chat with customer support but they wouldn’t recognize my unit, I guess a refurbished unit isn’t worthy of their attention. 

Any help is appreciated,

What device won’t recognize it. I’ve seen several IoT devices that have issues with special characters/spaces in the ssid/password


One of my laptops that has previously been logged in. I am curious as to resetting it, will I be able to get into the admin online to set new passwords and all? I cannot even get into it now to set passwords, admin just says “wrong admin password” 

 


As far as the password, it was very simple and contained a single name with an uppercase letter and the rest lower case with an exclamation point. 


You might have to reset it to get back in. Sadly
