Unable to connect new SBG8300 to surfboard app xfinity

Xfinity has activated my new SBG8300 modem and I have tried the two different surfboard apps to connect to but they are not connecting to my wifi. I need to change my wifi password.

Thanks for your help.

As a side note, I’m not noticing any improvement with my new modem. My video cameras are slower to load. Ugg.

You can only use surfboard central app to setup modem since this is the upgrade one and after connecting the device to the modem default WIFI network you can setup app by following the steps mentioned below and on the application itself you can change the WIFI credentials or you can change that by even accessing interface through the SBC app.
