There are many reasons for weak Wi-Fi coverage:
- If your gateway is in a corner or behind obstacles, it can limit the signal range. Positioning it higher up can help distribute the signal more evenly.
- Devices like microwaves can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.
- Walls, floors, and large objects can also block signals.
- Too many devices connected to the network can slow down the Wi-Fi.
To improve your Wi-Fi coverage, try repositioning your router and reducing interference like positioning your gateway in an more centralized area
Mesh systems can provide better coverage and speeds. You can choose between two-pack or three-pack mesh units.
To set up, connect the first mesh unit directly to the modem as the main router. The other units will pair wirelessly with the main router. For the mesh unit on the third floor, you'll need an Ethernet cable.
