Arris SBV3202 no internet

Forum|alt.badge.img

I can only get 1 out of 8 ports to get internet from a TP-Link 8 port gigabit switch to work. It’s hooked directly into the Arris SBV 3202 Modem. I’ve checked lines, jacks, connectors and all. Nothing works. The switch was working fine with the Arris TG1682G modem. Can anyone help?

SBV3202 is just a cable modem so this will provide only one IP address when you connect switch to the cable modem so you need to connect separate router to the modem then connect switch to the router ethernet port to access internet from all the ports on the switch.  TG1682G is gateway which is the combination of modem and router so it will provide internet to all the ports on the switch.

Awesome. Thank you. I had a Luxul router with a previous SBV3202 hooked. Lightning strike killed them both. Thank you again
