New ASBV3202 Installation IP address?

I will be installing a SBV3202 modem with Comcast soon.  I see the modem’s IP is 192.168.100.1 but my home network is 192.168.1.x range.  Is there a way to change the SBV3202 to 192.168.1.1?  I do not want to change my home network to match the modem.

Thanks,

Dennis

The modem will be on a separate subnet that the primary router. Its designed that way and not changeable. You actually want your home network on a different subnet than the modem.

So leave it as is.

Even if you have a modem/router combo device, the modem sides address is still accessible on the 192.168.100.1 while the router is on a different address. (but can usually access both through either)
