Since installing the  Arris Model NVG4438 router MagicJack cannot receive or make calls.  Any ideas on how to make it work?  Thanks.  Tim

Arris supports only the retail products that are available on surfboard.com but not the ISP lease products. Please contact your ISP for further assistance.

I’ve had the same ISP for years.  The MagicJack worked with the old router.  But not with this one.  That leads me to believe it’s the new router.  I unplugged the old router and plugged in the  Arris Model NVG4438 router.  MagicJack hasn’t worked since.

Of course, it’s the ISP’s fault.  Duh!

Its an ISP supplied device so Arris official won’t support it.

Things to do.

  1. check with magicjack to see if something needs to be forwarded.
  2. try disabling sip alg.

Sorry.  Wrong again.  I purchased the router from Office Depot in December 2023.   Any excuse to not support the product.
