The model is SVG2482-AC. The battery is optional for SVG2482-AC. The battery backup will allow the voice service to function in case of a power outage, but it is not intended to replace the AC power for an extended period of time.  The available talk time can last up to 5 hours or provide 8 hours of standby time. The SVG2482AC includes the ability to verify the battery backup status by accessing the Web Management Interface.  The battery back-up status will appear as REPLACE when the current replacement battery back-up needs to be replaced.

The WPS (Wireless Protected Setup) feature allows wireless clients and the SVG2482AC to establish a wireless connection with a push of a button or by exchanging pin code.  WPS and WPA-PSK (Wireless Protected Access) wireless encryption are enabled by default in the SVG2482AC.  WPS automatically generates a new strong WPA key for the Gateway and any WPS client devices on the wireless network.  The SVG2482AC supports two types of WPS: PIN Entry and PBC (Push Button Connection).
