I have a SVG2482AC that I purchased used. The original owner somehow change the device name to their last name. How do I change it?

If someone else had it, I’d factory reset it to clear out any of their old settings and then install it again

Tried that. Did not clear out the name.

What name is it?

Are you talking the name on a hardwired device in windows? Or the ssid name?

The name is the previous owners name.

You still don’t say where you’re seeing this.

Is it the ssid?

Is it the hardwired connections within windows?

Whats telling you this?

Just saying “the name is the same” tells us nothing on whats saying that and we can’t help you fix it off minimal info.

Cipriano is not my name, it is the previous owner

its how windows decided to name it. You can change it through windows. Its nothing you change on the router.

Looks like Cipriano could be the Wi-Fi name based on the bottom pic.  Try this link below to change the Wi-Fi name.

Pretty sure that icon is for a lan connection

@plemans you’re right.  I missed the clues on the original post.😅
