My modem (svg2482ac) works fine for surfing the internet, as well as for my landline. My printer, however, is looking for a WPS connection in order to connect to the modem. I have tried restarting the modem completely from scratch and then pressing the WPS button on top of the modem. The WPS button will blink for about 3 or 4 minutes and then turn off. What am I doing wrong?

In this case we would suggest you to give it a try on the modem GUI or the modem interface to setup the WPS option by following the below mentioned steps.

  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://10.0.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.

  2. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.

  3. Enter password in the Password field then click the Login button.  The Gateway > At a Glance page will appear.

  4. On the left side menu select Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi
  5. Below the Private Wi-Fi network list > select Add Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Client
  6. You can use the PUSH button method or PIN method to connect your devices to the modem.
