I cannot activate the surfboard SVG2482AC with Xfinity as CM MAC id is not recognized.

CM MAC address is nothing but the HFC MAC address so that can be provided to your service provider to activate your internet service on the modem. Please make sure that the HFC or CM MAC address mentioned on the product label is same as on the box.
