I purchased SVG2482AC today. Activated it through my internet provider, set up the network name and password. My laptop connects fine, my cell phone has WiFi, but my TV says it can't find my network…. and for the Catagory question, I don't see anything pertains to the ARRIS SURFboard that I have… just picking the first option...

If one particular device not connecting to the modem Wi-Fi network you can try changing Wi-Fi security mode on the modem GUI for 2.4 network and after changing the mode you can power cycle the modem and the device to check the Wi-Fi on the particular device.
Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://10.0.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. The Login page will appear.
On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
Enter password in the Password field then click the Login button.
The Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi > Edit 2.4ghz page will appear.
Select security mode to WPAWPA2- PSK (TKIP/AES) > Save settings
