Recommend Wi-Fi Extender for Arris SVG2482AC modem with 500 Mbps download package.

an dual band extender would work fine depending on your purpose of it. 

I’m preferential to the triband extenders as they have a dedicated backhaul that increases speed. 

Yours is an older AC device so something like a used netgear EX8000 would be fine.
