I bought a refurbished T25 but I can't add it to my ISP because it is still registered on someone else's account. Any ideas?

Only Xfinity can remove the HFC MAC address off their system.  If you’re out of warranty, try exchanging it with the place of purchase.

Return it?

Who’s your isp?

Try contacting them again. I’ve had reps say that same thing but turned out they just didn’t know what they were doing. Sometimes a different rep can help

T25 is a cable modem; it is compatible only with Xfinity. Normally, a refurbished unit has a warranty of 1 year.

If the same problem persists, I would suggest visiting www.arris.com/consumersupport for further assistance, or you can return the unit to the place of purchase.

It’s Xfinity. I went through 5 different reps on chat and the last one just told me to go to an Xfinity store. So, I did, and the rep there said it was already active on my account. He didn’t know why the chat agents had me do that. but problem solved.

It was a refurbished modem so it wasn’t under Arris warranty unfortunately.
